Flower Power

It's been awhile since I last wrote a blog.  With all the activities I am involved with in our church ministry and making collaborative paintings with my daughter Clarissa, I forgot that I had a website that needed to be updated.

After Clarissa's "Picasso-like" modern portraits, the John 3:16 abstract with crosses, the Psalm 1:3 Trees, City Life and the Women series now comes the "Flower Power," an impressionist work of art enhanced with embossed paint.

I am actually not a flower person and you will hardly see me wear floral shirts.  Perhaps I have a few, but flowers don't seem to fit my sporty image.  But when I began to see flower images in Clarissa's paintings, I did some research on the internet to see photos of flower arrangements that will help me finish her work.

Flowers are God's creation and He had a purpose for creating them.  When someone is celebrating her birthday, she sometimes receives flowers.  When a man is wooing a woman, he send her flowers.  When a person is sick, she receives flowers.  Flowers changes the mood of a person and enhances the ambiance of a room. They are so pleasing to the eyes and makes people happy.I praise the Lord for this beautiful gift that He has given us!  As the cliché goes, "The best things in life are free!"
